Show j satellite I Barbecue Taken John M illcr told police officers May 22 that a black Weber barbecue valued at $60 had been stolen fom his backyard. Several years ago Max Jarman's black Weber disappeared from his back porch. The police do not think the thefts are related. Sand and Gas Don't Iix Sometime last week someone put sand in the gas tank of Marit Glenne's two vehicles. Glenne told authorities the sand caused $700 in damage to her 1973 Pinto and $1,300 to a 1980 Plymouth. Grubsteak Staked Out On May 26 Officers Yates and Sickels investigated an attempted burglary at Grubsteak Restaurant. An employee reported that evening finding a rear door held ajar by card bard as if someone planned to return later and enter the building. The two officers staked out the restaurant and noticed a car pull up to the door at 12:10 a.m. For some reason the car sped away. Police later found the white dodge but took no further action. Eating Establishment Entered $730 in cash and stereo equipment was reported missing from the Eating Establishment June 1. An investigation led officers to believe the front door was forced open to gain entry. Inside a screw driver was apprently used to open a cabinet containing the cash and stereo. An investigation continues. Ten Speed Gone Beth Karen Fratkin of 656 Holiday Ranch Loop Road reported the theft of a ten-speed bicycle May 31. According to Fratkin she borrowed the bike from Kathy Kuchar and left it in the Post Office while she had a beer at the Alamo. When she returned the bike was gone. Window Shattered Dr. William G. Smith told officers May 30 that a plate glass window had been broken in the rear of his house. Police feel a B-B gun was used to break the window valued at $300. Stop Signs Knocked Down Four stop signs were noticed knocked down May 27. Damage was reported at $100 to the signs near Main Street and Park Avenue. |
