Pay a call on The Mountain Fishery, Park City's own seafood specialty restaurant tucked in a cozy setting a few steps below street level at 368 Main Street. Local residents probably remember re-member The Mountain Fishery jokingly referred to as the traveling restaurant by one of the owners in its previous locations, first at the TMI, later in the C'est Bon Hotel. A permanent home was found in its present location in the spring of 1976 and co-owners Bruce Patrono and Gary Thibaud spent several months pounding nails, hanging wall board and doing everything else that was needed to transform a dingy basement, with nothing but a couple of framed in toilets, into a charming "subterranean" dining spot opening date July 1976. Bruce and Gary are well qualified to run a restaurant having 18 years experience between them and this expertise exper-tise is evident in everything they do, from the uniqueness of the menu to the quality of the food. Their aims, says Bruce, is to provide dining to fit everyone's pocketbook and to provide a good meal for the money. They want petpletd leave full "and'satisfied" whether they spent $2.50 for a chowder combination or $13.95 for"'fftsft Maine Lobster. All .iers are served with a fresh green salad, with choice of house dressing, homemade melt in your mouth cornbread with honey butter, and entrees come graced with brown rice and cole slaw. Everything is made from scratch and fresh seafood is used whenever possible. You can sample fresh Maine lobster from the east coast or fresh red snapper from the West Coast. Try the red hot snapper cooked with jack and cheddar cheeses, mild salsa and sunflower seeds for a real taste bud tingler, or for something a bit different yet how about an Italian Crab Roll sau-teed sau-teed crab cooked in butter and wine and wrapped in prosciutto ham. Whatever your seafood favorite, favor-ite, Bruce and Gary are likely to have it on the menu, and for you meat lovers there's a great steak served with sauteed mushrooms. And no need to pay a call at the liquor store on your way. The Mountain Fishery sells mini bottles and splits of wine to accompany your dinner.
