Show Greenhalgh Resigns County Planning Post County Planner Director Max Greenhalgh will leave his post at the end of April to start a private firm in Salt Lake. Greenhalgh said Tuesday he and two other partners will operate a planning and development develop-ment firm called Essex Enterprises. Enter-prises. "I've always wanted to get into private development," he said. "My mission is accomplished here." Greenhalgh added that he has begun to find his position with the county "a little stifling" after nearly three years as planning director. He said he will continue working for the county two days per week and "when needed" until the end of April. Summit County is currently advertising for a new planning director. Greenhalgh's partners are Park City resident Mike Procter, a member of the local volunteer fire department, and Salt Lake . attorney Ted Stewart. The planner gave notice last November after failing to reach an agreement with the county commissioners on a "mutually agreeable salary" but changed his mind a month later when the commissioners came up with "a very good offer."
