Show Muckers Tie University 10-10 in First Home Game cumstances considering the middle mid-dle school field has a gradual slope from south to north. It was decided not play on the city park field because of the many hard spots on the playing surface. The next regularly scheduled home game for the Muckers will be against Belmont Shores, a side from Long Beach, California on June 27th. A few members of the Park City ruggers will attend rugby trials . and a referee's clinic in Salt Lake June 10th. Faced against a much improved University of Utah side, the Park City "Muckers" had to come from behind to salvage a tie in their first home game played Saturday on the field at Winters Middle School. The final score: Park City 10, University of Utah 10. Fred Grambau made both trys for Park City, the final one being in the closing minutes of the game, The fast and agile Mucker side left the U of U scoreless at the end of the first half, and led 4-0. The second half saw the University of Utah fight back for two trys and one two-point conversion, making it University of Utah 10, Park City 4 with the clock ticking away the end of the game. U of U's Chris Castillo made the first try which was followed by another try for Park City's opponents by Soupy M'lai. Ernie Sandoval made one of two conversion kicks. Even though Bill Hart was unable to make his first conversion conver-sion kick, he came back to convert the second one, which resulted in breaking U of U's 10-8 lead, and tied the score. Don Sturges made what turned out to be a game-saving tackle in the second half when he chased speedy Chris Castillo half way down the field preventing a U of U try.
