Show Ice Rink Error Dear Editor: I would like to call to your attention a very serious error in an article which appeared on Thursday, May 4, $978 entitled, "Year Round Ice Rink Needed" by Alexander T. Holmsen. The article states, and I quote: "The leading schools, Viewmont and Judge Memorial, each field two teams, and the latter, a parochial school, even offers hockey scholarships." At no time, to my knowledge, did Mr. Holmsen contact me, the modera tor of the hockey club, or any member of my staff. At no time in the past or in the present has Judge Memorial Catholic High School offered any hockey scholarships scho-larships or athletic scholarships of any kind. There are no plans whatsoever to offer such scholarships scholar-ships in the future. Judge Memorial Catholic High School abides by the rules of the Utah High School Activities Association in all areas, especially especi-ally regarding recruitment. Students Stu-dents are accepted to our school based on completion of the 8th grade and application to our school. Judge Memorial has not in the past, does not at present, and has no intentions in the future of personally recruiting any particular particu-lar student for any particular activity within the school. We do engage in a general publicity campaign each year to advertise the benefits of our school, but this has never been directed to a particular student. .Sincerelv, Rev. David M. Whalen, O.S.F.S.
