Show PLUNGES FROM PIER, SERIOUSLY INJURED Salt Lake. Aug. 2"?. As the result of a dive from a p?r at Saltan- Into Ihe briny waters of Ihe Great Salt lake Sunday afternoon. Charles J Stenbom, clerk in the ol'llce of th superintendent of the Denver & Rio Grande railroad, lies at St. Mark's hospital with his lower extremities completely paralyzed. The accident occurred about 0 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. St?nbom and several friends were in barbing near the northeast tier of bath-houses, which was built following the demolishing demol-ishing of jjMrt of the main tier during dur-ing a severe storm some time ago. Mr. St en bom, who Is an expert swlm-1i:hi- and diver, climbed onto the pier, about ten feet from the water, and dived Into tin lake.
