Three new concerns came In with bids this time, Rlchara P. Morris' company, com-pany, tho Sugar Houso Coal & Lumber Lum-ber company and the Dunyon Coal company. These bidders materially lower the price, but the bids of the two latter firms wero rejected for the reaoon that they offered to furnish coal only to schools within their immediate im-mediate neighborhood. The Sugar House company offored to supply the Sugar House, Emerson, Waterloo and Hamilton achools with slack at $3.60 a ton, with mine run for $4 75 a ton, a reduction of fifty cents, with a pea for $4 a ton, a reduction of seventy-five seventy-five cents, and with lump for 95.25, a reduction of fifty cents. The Dunyon concern offered to furnish the Waterloo Water-loo and Jefferson with slack for $3.60 a ton, pea at $3.50 a ton, and lump at $5.35. This firm made no bid on mine run.
