Show STOCKS LANGUID SALT LAKE, Aug. 22. Trading on the local exchange today waa languid and stocks changed hands slowly. Throughout the market was fairly firm with tho volume of trading slightly slight-ly lower than usuaL About the only stocks that showed any real life this morning were Iron Blossom and Columbus Co-lumbus Consolidated. The latter opened at SO cents and during the open board trading climbed up to 82 cents. According to persons who have visited the mine lately it Is getting larger every day and Is In better bet-ter condition that It has been for years. The ore bodies are larger and the value of the or extracted better. General Manager Tony Jacobson is down from the property today but he is non committal on what la being done. Iron Blossom has been doing much development work lately and the No. 1 shaft promises to be a greater producer pro-ducer than any of the others. It is asserted ore has been encountered on the 1,100-foot level as well as on the BOO, COO and 300 levels The ore body Is one of the strongest that has been found although It does not promise prom-ise to be the richest. Colorado was soiling at 424 cents again today, Yankee Consolidated was quite a factor and much blgher. Ne vada Hills was lower today. Tho total number of shares transacted trans-acted in today was 21,400, for which ?6.C06.E0 was paid. On the curb market trading was slower than usual today and the only stocks traded In were Opex Consolidated. Consoli-dated. The sales were 500 shares of Opex at ZG cents and 300 at 37 cents. |
