Show WRECKS AND DESERTS CAR AFTER LONG RIDE Detectives Unearth Clues That Will Lead to Arrest of Thief. Salt Lake. May 9. Holding up the night man at the Sbnrman Automobile Automo-bile company's garage, 16 4 East Fourth South street, within a few-doors few-doors of the police station, a lone "Joy rider" stole a $4.0uo automobile Sunday morning at 4 o'clock and. after af-ter driving about the city to his heart's content, left the machine, with a split wheel, at Second West and Third South streets Motorcycle Officer Of-ficer Griflln located the stolen automobile auto-mobile Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, after which it was returned to the garage by F. H. Sharman. The holdup was discoered when Bert N. Bailey, manager of Bailey & Sons company, 63 East Second South street, ran Ms automobile into the garage. Mr. Bailey found Clarence Paulson, the night man employed at the jsarngo, seated against the elevator eleva-tor of the garage, and securely tied to one of the posts. Upon hHng released re-leased Paulson, who was thoroughly seated, told of the holdup. |
