Show SENATORS TO SETTLE A DISPUTE The people of San Pete and Juab counties have disagreed as to the exact ex-act location of the boundary lino between be-tween the two counties, going so far In their disagreement as to make it a matter of legislative consideration. The question was Introduced at tht last session of the state legislature coming up In the upper house of that body, and a committee was appointed appoint-ed to Investigate, and report at the coming session of the senate. The personnel of the committee la as follows: fol-lows: Rudolph Kuchler of the Sixth senatorial sena-torial district, chairman. William C. Horseley of the first district. Jamea R. Wilson of the. Fifth district. dis-trict. The chairman of the committee Is one of the senators from Weber county. Mr. Horseley comes from Box Elder county, and Mr. Wilson la a resident of Wasatch' connty. Senator Kuchler. accompanied by bis wife left yesterday for Salt Lake, where he will meet the other members of the committee; they will proceed to the county seat of Juab count, Nephl, and from there to the dividing line between Juab and San Pete counties. The gentlemen will be piloted from N'ephl through the disputed ground by Senator 1. A. Hyde of Juab county, and, it Is expected, ex-pected, the parly will be Joined in San Fete territory by representatives from that commonwealth. Mr. Kuchler Kuch-ler will remain In Nephl to visit friends while the senator makes tho Investigation The company will bo conveyed overland over-land from Nephl to the head of Salt Creek, and from that point they will travel along the rolling hills between the two counties, the summit of which is considered by some to be the line of demarcation, southward as far as the Sevier river, where four counties Juab, San Pete, Millard and Sevier converge. Senator Kuchler expects that the trip will occupy his attention for ten days or two weeks. The question will bo given careful and Impartial consideration con-sideration at the hands of the committee, com-mittee, and a report will be prepared for the consideration of tho state senate sen-ate at the next session of the legislature. |
