Show SUPPOSED BACHELOR IS A MUCH-MARRIED MAN New York, Feb. C Each bear a-marrlage a-marrlage certificate, four women appeared ap-peared at a local undertaking establishment estab-lishment late yesterday to claim the body of W. S. King, who was a well known figure in the tenderloin district. He died Wednesday, at St. Joseph's hospital and although the four supposed sup-posed wives have since turned up. It was the general belief among his friends until yesterday that he was a bachelor. "Three of the Mrs. Kings" viewed the body together having arrived at the undertaking establishment within a few minutes of each other. A hysterical hys-terical scene ensued and each woman was positive in her assertion that the body before them was that of her husband. hus-band. The third woman had already claimeid the body and the undertaker at last ordered all three to leave the place. They had scarcely departed depart-ed when the fourth woman came and another scene was enacted. The undertaker un-dertaker wan in a quandary for awhile, but finally decided to recognize only the first Mrs. King. The funeral of the much-claimed husband will be hed today. i |
