Show a strong roan than an athlete and sprinter. Ramsdell entered the junior class at Pennsylvania this fall, but of course he was not eligiblo to try for the 'Varsity 'Var-sity team. Mike Murphy, however, took him over on the scrub team, which Is the especial delight of the veteran vet-eran trainer. The Texan at once set tho footbail coaches wild with his great work. Strong though the Pennsylvania Penn-sylvania 'Varsity team was, It could not begin to hold Ramsdell. and he scored touchdowns daily. At first he knew nothing about kicking, but Coach George Brooke took him In hand, and before the end of the season Ramsdell could almost hold his own with Hollen-back. Hollen-back. Now Rams'Jcll Is still practicing kicking under the tutelage of Brooke ; and Ilcllonback, and from the steady Improvement he manifests he is likely like-ly to be the star kicker of the season next year. When Ramsdell gets loose on a football foot-ball field with his 190 pound of weight , and his 10-second speed, he Is going to bo a dangerous man to handle. In another an-other year It Is believed that Mike Murphy can make Ramsdell cover the j 100 yards In 9 3-5 seconds. MURPHY HAS A NEW ATHLETIC WONDER. Philadelphia. Feb. 6. Mike Murphy has made another ten-strike, according to all Indications, and collared an athlete ath-lete who bids fair to make a great name In collegiate athletics. The now member is Ramsdell, a giant Texan, who can run the 100-yard in 9 4-K seconds., sec-onds., cover the 220-yard in 22 2-6 .seconds, .sec-onds, run a good quarter and half, can Jump, and is a great football player. This great athlete Is 6 feet In height, and weighs 190 pounds, yet is as agile as a cat. He gets off the mark for a sprint lik'e lightning and Is strong to the finish.
