Show VISITED IN OCDEN F. V. Bankow6ke, formerly of this city and Salt Lake, but now a resident resi-dent of Butte, was in Ogden yesterday yester-day conferring with Wedell and Steele in regard to mining properties in the Pioeho region of Nevada. He left last evening for Los Angeles. Mr. Bankoweko Is interested with John Pingree, Sam Bamford and other Ogden men in tho Ploche Golden Prince Mining company, property which includes a group or six claims lying directly north of tne famous Prince Consolidated and Ploche King claims, owned by Messrs. Klfby and Ilodson. The Ogden promoters' shalt is now nearing the 300-foot level and very satlefactory results are Deing obtained. Mr. Bankowsko states that, tho developments de-velopments on adjoining properties Justify and have induced hM associates associa-tes to sink a permanent shaft before crops-cutting for values. Instead of following the veins witn inclines, as othera have hastily done In their er-forts er-forts to make a quick showing on tneir properties. Some of the ore already mined In the Ploche Golden Prince runs as high .as 2.200 ounces in silver and they have obtained samples or gold-bearing rock which asBay as high as from $300 to $400 per ton. Mr. Banl'owske is a merchant who has been particularly succensrui in Nevada Ne-vada mining projects and he Is now going to Lop ADgeJea for rest and recreation. |
