One of the largest Incorporated companies com-panies of Weber county was brought inro the public eye yesterday when the Vineyard Land & Stock company lllod articles of incorporation with tho county clerk. The incorporators were David Eccles. M. S. Drowning, Joseph Seoweroft, Adam Patterson, II. H. Rolapp and W. H. Wattls, the capital stock of the company being designated as $1,000,000, divided into shares ot tho par value of $100 each; ?S00,00'J of this amount is paid up subscription, subscrip-tion, and $200,000 is reserved as treasury trea-sury stock. The first officers oT the company are David Eccles, president; M. S. Browning Brown-ing and Joseph Scowcrott, vice-presidents; H. II. Rolapp, secretary, and W. II. Wattls, treasurer, with the main ofiloes of the company to bo established estab-lished In Ogden and tho life ot the company Is for 100 years. The object of the company, as stated by tho articles of incorporation, is to buy and sell real estate, bull.l villages, irrigation ditches and reservoirs, reser-voirs, own and control ranches and farms, do a general stock business and do other things necessary for the Improvement and building up of a new country. Tho stockholders of this company within the last few months purchased what is known a3 the Sparks-Uarrcll l.nnch In Nevada, which embraces a large acreage of valuable lands that may be utilized for farm, ranch and grazing purposes. The cost of this immense holding was $800,000. The stockholders of the company, together with tho number of shares of stock subscribed are as follows; David Eccles; 2,000 shares; David Eccles, trustee, 1.100 shares; Adam Tatterson, 2.000; W. II. Wattis. 1,000; Joseph Seoweroft, 1,000; M. S. Browning, Brown-ing, 1,000. ' All the stockholders are residents of Ogden. |
