He hud been L In poor health for some time, but fr was not considered seriously 111 until Er a. few days before his death. Hl Mr. Cramer lived In Ogden previous B to 1S9S when he moved to Salt Lake. pV e carried the distinction of having: H built the first house ever erected H hero which was the property of Presl- H Lorln Farr, of the L. D. S. church. H9 Mr. Cramer was born In Tuscarora county. Ohio, September G, 1S30. His . parents a few years later moved to H Streator, 111., which was Mr. Cramer's WM home until 1351, when he emigrated M t Ogden, coming across tho plains JH by ": team. A year later, with other jjH prospectors, he followed the lure of .-j the gold fields of California and was lS i there uritll the outbreak of tho civil cH I war, when he returned to his old home in Ilhrols, but immediately on-;Sf on-;Sf tered the service of his country, flt Ko was with the northern army jH for the three years of the war, after Mm which, he settled Jn Ivnnsas. Cra- Vfl mer was twice married, his first we WM being a member of the family " of jH J3righam Young. His second wife ' was Jennie Cathcart of Alton, J11-, who survives him. He. also leaves' six children: Mrs. Owen Myers, D. F. Cramer and Bruce H , Fi Cramer, all of Salt 'Lake: Sam A. Hj&j Cramer of Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. ttL Bargo Niskey of Collbran, Colo., and Paul S.
