Show I Oiicago Quotations j CHICAGO, Dec. 23 Predictions of unsettled .weather had a strengthening influence today on the corn market. The fact that the chief shortage in the! crop is in the states of largest production pro-duction was also an evident bullish factor. Trade, however, lacked volume. vol-ume. Opening prices, which ranged from c off to lc advance, with January Jan-uary $1.3S to 1.39 and May $1.35 & to 1.35, were followed by material gains all around and then something of a reaction. Oats showed comparative weakness. There was no special demand. After opening unchanged to c off with January 70 to 70c, the market underwent un-derwent a further sag. Provision trade was very slow.
