Show 1 IMPROVEMENTS ARE IDE II LOCAL EXCHANGE An extension project estimated at a cost of about ?35.000 is well under way at the local telephone exchange, own-I own-I ed by the Mountain States Telephone I and Telegraph company. I The work, which is being supervised by James Milroy, electrical engineer, from the Denver office and his assistant assis-tant Uoseph Qulnn of Salt Lake, was begun the middle of August, and with no delay in materials, will undoubtedly undoubt-edly be completed by the first of June. A.Morse test board, two additional sections of toll board and one section of local switchboard are being installed install-ed by Mr. Milroy, the additional section sec-tion of local board, being equipped to accommodate 500 new lines, or subscribers. sub-scribers. Through the Morse test board a higher efficiency of service will be maintained by the company, and the additional toll boards will accommodate ac-commodate additional toll traffic which will undoubtedly result from the reduced toll rates recently established estab-lished by Postmaster Burleson, who Is in charge of the telephone service of the United States. |
