Pershing Per-shing made his first visit to the Rhine-laud Rhine-laud today. He arrived in a private car which was parked at tho edge of a town. It is doubtful if one per cent ot the inhabitants of the place knew that the commander-in-chief of- the American forces was In their midst. With tho exception of General Dick-man, Dick-man, commander of the army of occu-, occu-, pation not even the officers at the 'headquarters of the Third army were Jawaro of General Pershing's presence.
