Show W. RAL FARR GIVEN NON-COMMISSIONED j POSITION Attorney W. Hal Farr of Ogden today to-day received his appointment to a noncommissioned non-commissioned post in the United States army as army field clerk. The position carries good pay and will demand de-mand Mr. Farr's Immediate transfer to France. He was examined this morning at the local army recruiting station and then left for Salt Lake for another examination by a commissioned commission-ed officer. He passed in Ogden with flvlng colors. Mr. Farr will leave immediately im-mediately for Washington, if he gets through in Salt Lake. The young man applied for the position posi-tion last Oct ber and was wired his appointment at midnight last night. He immediately notified the government govern-ment that he would accept. Last October Oc-tober ho tried to enlist in the engi-aeerfl engi-aeerfl division but was rejected and then was advised by Senattor King, a personal friend, to apply for the position posi-tion of army field clerk. Mr. Farr is a member of the firm of Farr & Sullivan, attorneys, and is very' widely known in Ogden. He is a member mem-ber of the University club. rr |
