Show oo WAS TRYING TO SELL HIS MOTORCYCLE Fred Davidson, a young man, appeared ap-peared in the police court this morning morn-ing on a charge of riding his motorcycle motorcy-cle at the rate of 35 miles per hour on South Washington avenue, which rate of speed is greater than Is safe i and proper. Davidson was arrested Tuesday evening and ordered by the officer to appear in court yesterday morning, but when his case was called he did not answer. A warrant was issued is-sued and he was brought in this morning. morn-ing. After hearing the facts, the court ordered a suspended sentence. It appeared from the testimony that the extenuating circumstances in the case were both the fact that the young man thought be was in a district where he was permitted to speed, and he was also demonstrating tho manner in which his machine could perform for the benefit of a prospective buyer. He wanted to sell the machine and explained ex-plained to the court that it was necessary nec-essary to show that the machine was not afflicted with general debility. oo |
