Show CITY CEMETERY 15 BEING IMPROVED The Ogden City cemetery is rapid -h taking on a changed appearance through the fact that a very large numbi-r of owners of lots are having improvements made. New cement copings have been put in around a large percentage of the lots and a force of ffipn is kept busy on this work. In those spots where there is need for grading, especiulh in tho northeast north-east section of the cemetery, many have recently been filled to a standard stand-ard level and seeded to grass. On some of them the grass is already beginning be-ginning to form a fine green color. The city has also been doing improvement im-provement work in the cemetery. It is now announced by the city authorities authori-ties that a new row of lots is to be laid out and opened for sale with special spe-cial privileges. This proposed section lies along the front of the cemetery on Twentieth street, between Adams and Jefferson avenues, and is 660 feet in length, though but on- lot in width. This t-oction will be graded to the standard level, the inside along the driveway will be given a fine cement coping and a cement walk, and the lots will be sodded and cared for by the city unde r th- perpetual - r;irr provision. pro-vision. This space has heretofore not been sold for lots, so that the city may open it and put in the improvements uniformly the entire length. Tho city officials hope to encourage encour-age more owners of lots to have the improvements made, especially the cement copings and tho grading. |
