(By the Assoclatod Press) Tho enemy Is increasing his resistance a-long a-long the line south from 'Soissons where every yard which the Allies push forward further hampers tho On the front whero the Franco -American forces aro pushing in just to the north of the Marne, the enemy ene-my is carrying out sullen and stubborn stub-born rear guard actions, but despite these the Allios continue their gains. Tho Germans left numbers of machine ma-chine guns in tho path of the allied progress and aro using their artillery likewise in guarding the slow retreat. Tho concentrated forces of tho crown princo have matorially slowed down tho allied progress. Thero is no indication however, that the enemy will bo ablo to counter-atta'ck successfully. |
