Show MISS HELEN iCONROy DIES I HOLY CROSS HOSPITAL Miss Helen M. Conroy, a well known professional nurse of Ogden and a graduate of the Sacred Heart Academy Acade-my and Holy Cross Hospital, died this morning at 2:15 o'clock in Holy Cross hospital at Salt Lake. She had suffered suf-fered terribly for several weeks past from an infection contracted while engaged at the local hospital and her chances for recovery from tho first wero considered very slight. Miss Conroy was tho daughter of Mrs. Annie Conroy, 2215 Jefferson avenue. Her father, John Conroy, has been dead several years. Miss Conroy Con-roy was twenty-two years of age and was born and reared in Ogden. She was a student at the Sacred Heart Academy and received practically all of her elementary education at that institution, graduating several years ago. Afterwards she entered the Holy Cross hospital in Salt Lake and studied nursing and was graduated from that Institution in 1917. She practiced in Ogden at the Dee Hospital for several months. Sho was ill at the local hos- puiii lor suuie liiiiu uul vu itmuvcu to the Salt Lake hospital when her condition became worse. She is survived by her mother, three sisters and one brother. Her sisters are May Conroy, manager of the suit department of W. H. Wright fc Sons company; Anna Conroy, a member of the local forestry service staff, and Kathleen Conroy. Her brother is Jack Conroy, a railroad man. Miss May Conroy is in New York City at present pres-ent on business and will be unable to reach Ogden in time for her sister's funeral. The funeral will be held at tho Catholic church, but tho dato has not yet been decided on. The body was brought to Ogden this morning from Salt Lako and is at the Kirkendall mortuary. nn |
