The Royal Purplo Club will meet this evening at 8 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Ella Mitchell, 370 Twenty-third Twenty-third street, and all members are requested re-quested to attend. VISITING IN OGDEN George Goodman, the young son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Goodman of Ev-anston, Ev-anston, is visiting here with his grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Jones. FROM LOS ANGELES Mrs. Jennie Farley of Los Angeles, Cal,, with her son and daughter, Arthur Ar-thur and Ruth, arrived in Ogden to spend several weeks visiting with relatives. rel-atives. Mrs. Farley is a daughter of Mrs. Sadie West, 2217 Grant avenue, and Mrs. C. E. Richards of 236 Twenty-seventh street is her sister. RETURNS FROM COLORADO Joseph B. Bates, Associated Press operator for the morning paper, has returned from Leadville, Colo., whero he spent his vacation of two weeks. He was accompanied by Mrs. Bates. VISITED IN KAYSVILLE Mrs. John Barton of this city has been visiting tho past week at Kays-ville Kays-ville with her mother, Mrs. Rachel Mansell. FROM EVANSTON Miss Nettie Harvey of Evanston is visiting in Ogden as the house guest of Miss Loretta Thinnes. She will spend about two weeks here. CHANGE PLACE OF MEETING. Because of the illness of Mrs. Dave B. Cashmore the meeting of Sego Lily Thimble club will be held at the home of Mrs. Sarah Drysdale, 2679 Quincy avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. ENJOYING VACATION TRIP. Professor C. S. Springer of the local lo-cal Smithsonian Business college, has gone to Spokane and Leavenworth, Wash., where he will spend two weeks' vacation. Mrs. Springer has charge of the affairs at the school whilo the professor Is away. FAREWELL PARTY. A pleasant farewell party was given in honor of Cornell Ncuterman and William Price ono evening last week prior to the young men's leave taking. Both boys are to leave in tho draft Thursday of this week for Camp Lewis. Lew-is. A delightful time was spent at the party, games being played and refreshments refresh-ments served. Many friends of the young men were present. SHOWER FOR TWO YOUNG LADIES. One of the pleasant parties of the past week was tho shower given at tho homo of Miss Agnes Mollerup, 2761 Jackson avenue, in compliment to tho Misses Mollerup and Laura Ma-kin Ma-kin who left Ogden today for Texas whero they will visit the training camp. The evening was spent in dancing and enjoying refreshments. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Riter, Misses Jane Kinney, Lillian jiosicow, Edith Barow, Edith Culture, Mrs. Ida Carroll and Mrs. Todd. FOR MISS MARTHA STITT. Miss Martha Stitt was the recipient of a parcel shower last Friday evening even-ing when about thirty of her friends gathered at the home of Mr. Hilller by tho invitation of Mrs. Bert Hlllier, Mrs. John Mumford and Miss Clara Stitt. Tho shower of packages proved to be many lovely, as well as useful gifts. Dainty refreshments were served tho following guests: Arilla Newton, Gladys Larsen, Vera Johnson, Florence Flor-ence Stitt, Louise Schelln, E.
