On tho eastern flank a new allied spearhead spear-head ha's been driven in tho allied lines near Bouilly southwest of Rhelms. Both movements aro pointed toward Fismes, on the Veslo, the main German baso within tho salient. Despite German resistanco tho allies al-lies aro steadily pressing forward. Only ono small piece of railroad still is in uso by the enemy and this section sec-tion has no connections with tho main German bases. Tho enemy troops are reported to have small "supplies of food and ammunition and no adequate means of getting more. Enemy Driven Back Seven Miles. In tho past twenty-four hours most progress has been made in the Chateau Cha-teau Thierry sector and the enemy has been driven back there about seven sev-en miles eastward from Balllcul and four miles northward from. tho Marne at Chateau Thierry. Both the French and Americans havo mode notable progress in this region since the occupation oc-cupation of Chateau Thierry Sunday morning.
