Show . SUIT CASES FILLED WITH LIQUOR TAKEN SALT LAKE, Sept. 28. James Hudson Hud-son went to Evanston, Wyo., with a railroad ticket and a suit of clothes. I When ho returned he was carrying ' three suitcases and had checked four others. Tho federal officers wondered Yhere he acquired so many suitcases after the local police had picked him I up at tho Oregon Short Lino station, and as a result ho was arrested and charged with bringlug liquors from Wyoming Into Utah. Leon Bono and Chief of Polico J. Parley White conducted con-ducted the investigation, and it was found that Hudson had enough liquor to stock a small-sized bar. A complaint was issued against him by tho federal authorities yesterday, charging him with violating the Reed amendment to the Webb-Kenyon act. He Is In the city jail and will be given a preliminary hearing within a few days. oo |
