Show WOUNDED MAN DIES, ARREST FOLLOWS INFJIANSTON I . .J. R. Schlllerman of Evanston, Wyoming, Wyo-ming, died at l a. m., this morning, at the Dee hospital from appendicitis. He was brought to the hospital Sunday, Sun-day, in a serious condition which, It was thought, was due to a knife wound in his abdomen inflicted by Jack Harless, also of Evanstonu A diagnosis of the case, however, gave evidence that the man was suffering of appondlcltls and an operation was immediately performed. The man's appendfx had burst, however, and a efforts to save his life wore of no avail. Schlllerman was emploj'ed as a telegraph operator of the Union Pacific railroad. Harless, who Is a clerk In the Union Pacific dispatcher's office at Evans-ton, Evans-ton, and who was released from the custody of the police on bonds, following fol-lowing tho cutting affray in which he wounded Schlllerman. was taken Into custody this morning, after news of the latter's death was sent to Evans-ton. Evans-ton. The prosecuting attorney of Evanston and two physicians were expected to come In Ogden this afternoon after-noon to hold a post mortem examination examina-tion of Schlllerman's body. On the result of this examination, will depend the nature of the charge to be placed against Harless. |
