Would it not show a better spirit on the part of one or two persons connected con-nected with the Ogden High School, to allow this .school question to take its regular course rather than attempt to incite the students to become partisans? parti-sans? Young people look to their teachers for wisdom and they are easily swayed sway-ed by the pedagogic influence. The very best type of teacher never stoops to drag his pupil3 in to the front of battle in an effort to divert the fire of his opponents. The young people of tho Ogdeu High School but need tho proper environment environ-ment to win the highest honors In the gift of our free system of educa tion. To obtain for them that opportunity oppor-tunity Is a part of the fight of tho Standard, and, though temporarily they may be misled into believing th's paper is not serving their best inter-eats, inter-eats, eventually they will come to realize rea-lize their mistake. Students, we are informed, were called to the office of the principal of the high school this morning, and soon thereafter a pro-Mills demonstration demonstra-tion was under wa'. Principal Bee-son Bee-son should keep out of this controversy, contro-versy, unless he personally seeks to challenge those who are aiming to improve the schools. |
