Show Deaths and Funerals Funeral services for C. W. Host-mark Host-mark will be held in the Congregational church Wednesday at 2 p. m. Interment Ogden City cemetery. ceme-tery. The Knights of Pythias will conduct their services. ASHBYr-The fuuoral of A. E. Ash-by Ash-by was held Saturday afternoon at Lindqulst's chapel, with Rev. F. G, Bralnerd officiating. Interment was made in the city cemetery. Mr. Ash-by Ash-by was found dead In a pool of water at Fortieth streot and Washington avenue, December 17. IPSON Hans Peter Ipson succumbed suc-cumbed vesterday morning at his residence. 576 Seventh street. Death was attributed to valvular disease of the heart and though he hnd been ill a year, death was unexpected. Tho deceased, who was ono of Ogdon's well-known citizens, was born at Born-holm, Born-holm, Denmark, Novomber 23, 1843, the son of Peter and Karen Michalson Ipson. He was converted to the doctrine doc-trine of Mormoni8m in Denmark, in 1SG8, and three years later emigrated to Utah. Ho located at Ogden and has made this city his homo continuously continu-ously over since. On September 23, 1872, Mr. Ipson was married to Emma F. Mystrom at Salt Lake City who, with the following children survive him: Mra. Hilda Nordquist of Ogden Og-den and Michael P. Ipson of Blackfoot, Idaho, tho latter now being on a mission mis-sion to the western states, Mrs. Emma McDonald of Ogden, and Mrs. Ellen Comeford of Sacramento-, Cat, and Mrs. Elizabeth Butler of Ogden. Seventeen grandchildren also survive. Mr. Ipson held the office of a high priest in the Mormon church and had always been known as an active church worker. By profeslson he was a contractor and builder. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon after-noon at 2 o'clock, in tho Eighth ward chapel, Bishop W. W. Rawson presiding, pre-siding, and interment will bo in tho city cemetery. The body may bo viewed at tho residence tomorrow aft- ernoon and evening and Wednesday until the funeral hour. DIEU The funeral of Mrs. Marie C. Dieu was held yesterday afternoon in the Ninth ward meeting house, with Bishop W. O. Ridges presiding. The' chapel was filled to its capacity with relatives and friends of the deceased de-ceased and many floral tributes were placed upon her bier The speakers vere Herman Van Braak, Charles Reus, Fred W. Hodgson, John H. Taylor, Grant Brown, Lester M. Lambert, Lam-bert, Rev. J. Ashton, Louis Tetzer, Le Roy G. Pickering and Prof. James L. Barker, all of whom became acquainted ac-quainted with Mrs. Dieu while serving serv-ing as Mormon missionaries In Belgium. Bel-gium. Each recounted kindness shown them by the deceased while in the foreign land and told of her many good qualities. Special music was furnished as follows: Hymn, "Just ior a Little While," Ninth ward choir; solo, "My King," Robert Greenwell; solo, "Calvary," Mrs. Cora V. Read. Interment was in the Clinton cemetery, ceme-tery, the grave being dedicated by Charles Beus. Sons of the deceased acted as pall bearers. -oo V |
