Show HERMAN B. DENKERS IS STRUCK BY FAST S. P. TRAIN Herman B. Denkers, the well-known collector for the Boyle Furniture company, com-pany, was seriously Injured yesterday 'hortlv before 5 p. m., when an auto mobile which he was drhing was struck bv Southern Pacific train No. 2. at the West 1 71 h street crossing. The automobile was smashed Into an al-! al-! most unrecognizable mass and when the train crew picked up the driver. It was found that he had a bad scalp wound and a number of bad bruises. He was unconscious and a brain con-cusHion con-cusHion was feared. The injured man was taken to the I'nion depot, where h is nephew, Jerry Denkers secured the American Express Ex-press motortruck- and he was rushed to the Dee hospital His Injuries were examined by Dr. A. A Koblnson, but the full extent of them cannot be determined de-termined for probably a day or two He regained partial consciousness last I night and seemed to be resting easily. Mr. Denkers is 45 years old and has a large family He resides at 2Gr4 Barlow avenue |
