Show CEMETERY WILL i BE IPMHOVED I The directors of the Mountain View 'cemetery are to make extensive im- provements on that property this spring, according to a statement made by Director J C. Nye yesterday. In jpart. Mr Nye's statement follows "The work of beautifying parks and cemeteries is receiving much atten tion In modern civic improvements land while our Ogden City cemetery I has been fairly well cared for, Mountain Moun-tain View has been neglected. The .location and topography of this cemetery ceme-tery is ideal and with a small amount of work the property can be made beautiful Indeed. "It is no longer considered good j taste to inclose family lots with fences and copings and the best authorities au-thorities advocate placing all head stones and markers even with the surface of the ground or, at most, a few Inches above, leaving only the monuments as conspicuous artificial decorations This with flowers, ornamental or-namental shrubbery and trees, with well kept lawns, drives and walks makes a beautiful landscape "However it is not the intention of the directors of the Mountain View cemetery to make any rules requiring radical changes at this lime, but they desire to co-operate with the owners In some uniform system of Improve- ments to the end that the grounds will be made more beautiful "No definite plon of public Improvement Im-provement has been adopted, but the board of directors have the matter under consideration and expect to work to a definite end, making improvements im-provements from time to time as conditions con-ditions will justify."
