Show BOYS ARE INJURED AUTO ACCIDENTS Salt Lake. Nov. 12. Erwln Edding-ton, Edding-ton, 15, son of Detective R. L. Edding-ton, Edding-ton, S70 Lake street, was run down, while riding his bicycle, on Second East near Fifth South street late yesterday yes-terday afternoon by Thomas Lewis, residing re-siding in Whitaker court, who was driving an express delivery car. Young Eddington's right leg was broken just above the knee. His head was cul a bit in the back, where it was struck by the glass windshield. Driver Lewis hurried the injured boy to Dr. W. R. Calderwood's office, accompanied ac-companied by Dr. A. N. Hanson, who had seen the accident and who gave first aid. The two surgeons set the limb and the patient was taken home. Young Eddington was returning from home, after making his newspaper route, when the accident occurred. About the same time, but at Second Sec-ond South and Main streets, tho Lake hotel autobus, driven by E. R. Gardner, Gard-ner, struck Dwight B. Sockett, Jr., 3 years of age, knocking him to one side, with only slight injuries. Gardner Gard-ner turned the autobus Into the curb just as ho struck the child, otherwise the little boy might have been killed. Officer Lund saw the accident. An Inspection of the autobuB showed that its brakes were defective. It was ordered garaged until repaired.. The Sacketts live at 44 West Taylor avenue. ave-nue.
