In several regions the work of our miners obtained excellent results. "To the south of the Somme, near Faye. the explosion of one of our series of mines shattered the galleries and blew up a German post in front of Beuvraignes. A camouflet destroyed destroy-ed an enemy mine chamber which was being charged. "In the Argonue two of our mines greatly damaged the enemy works of tho Haute Chevauche and a hill 285. At Lcs Eparges another mine likewise destroyed a German trench. Wo immediately occupied the excavation, excava-tion, despite the resistance of the enemy. "Between the Meuse and the Moselle, Mo-selle, to the north of Fllrey, our bomb .throwers concentrated a very effective effec-tive fire on tho German positions." |
