Show COLLEGE DBIHI TO BE EH BI WEBER ACADEMY The college drama "Commencement Days" has been selected by Trof. T. Karl Pardoe. director of the depart-i depart-i ment of dramatic art and expression of the Weber academy as the annual I Academy dramatic production. It is 1 to be presented on the night of December De-cember 15 and tryouts for positions in the oast were "held last night at "Mr." Pardoc's studio at the academy. The successful aspirants for histrionic honors are as follows: Glenna Nelson. Gladys Peterson. Delia Warner, A'ilate Froerer, lone Jensen, Vera Bitton. Josephine Shorten, Short-en, Bernlcc I till Irene Scoville. Lcland Evans, Lcland Brewer, Douglas Leisb-man, Leisb-man, Ray Bassott, Ezra Chandler and Barrel! Clark. Members of the basketball team, usltfng girls and others who will appear ap-pear in the play to clve it local color, are to be chosen later Rehearsals ul'I begin next week and it is expect pd that a most successful presentation presenta-tion of the play will be given. This morning, French and German clubs were organized at the school, the memberships being composed of students who speak cither of the Ian- guages. Ellen Scowcroft was elected president of tho French club, with Clark Barlow as vice president and Franklin Richards as secretary-treasurer Elda Rlrie, Ben Young, Ruth Pardoe and Joseph Volher were selected se-lected as a program committee. Ihe German club selected Glendon Cardon as its president, Bornico Seaman, Sea-man, ce president, and Ray Bassett, secretary-treasurer. The object of both clubs is to hold meetings and socials at which the programs and conversations will bo carried out In the German or the French language |
