Show GENERAL GARZA TO HOLD OFFICE FOR SHORT TIME El Paso. Tex . Jan. 17. The election of General Garza as provisional president presi-dent of Mexico was confirmed by local Villa authorities here today. According Accord-ing to these officials, President Garza will only hold the office temporarily as the convention of generals now in session at Mexico City will immedl ately take up the selection of a new I president. The name of General Flllppe Angeles, Ange-les, chief of the artillery division of the convention army, has already been Placed before the convention of generals gen-erals for consideration. General Toae Isabel Robles minister of war in the Gutierrez cabinet, has also been suggested sug-gested to the delegates as a candidate to succeed Garza.
