Show oo GEORGE M. SMOOT DIES. Prove. Jan 17 George M. Smoot, a brother of Senator Reed Smoot. died this morning from Bright's dis-1 ease at his residence In the Fifth Ward His death occurred just aj month and two days after that of his wife The deceased was a son of the late President A O. Smoot and Mrs Anna K. Smoot. He was born in Salt Lake ! City fifty-one years ago and came to Provo is the early '70s with his parents par-ents and had spent the greater part of his life here He engaged in farming farm-ing and dairying for many years in Vineyard, and was for some years bishop of the Vineyard ward. He is survived by two daughters. Mrs. Em- ma Horsley of Logan and Miss Mar- j garet Smoot, who. with other members mem-bers of the family were at the bedside bed-side when he passed awaj. The following brothers and sisters survive him: Senator Reed Smoot, Mrs, Myron C. Newell, Mrs C A. Gla- zier, Brlgham Smoot of Idaho Falls. Mrs. Ida Smoot Dusen berry, Mrs. D. a, Boo be. Mrs J. W.
