Show DEATH RECALLS EARLY DAYS AT TERRACE TERMINAL James. C assin, an old time conductor on the Southern Pacific who retired many years ago. has received word from Berkeley of the death of William Wil-liam McKensie. a railroad man for over sixty vears and for the past 12 years superintendent of river and ferry steamers, for the Southern Pa cific company. McKenzle had worked work-ed for ihe Southern Pacific since 1871, had been division master mechanic and chief engineer, and was one of the most widely known figures in active railroad circles on the coast. His death followed an illness of four months. In 1S71 he was master mechanic on the old Central Pacific at Terra ce, when that place was a terminal Ho was called to San Francisco by Collis P Huntington to plan and superise the construction of the big ferryboat which transferred trains from Port Costa to Benicia.
