From the fertile imagination imagina-tion of thisi talented favorite among leading ncn wc would expect ex-pect an original effort entirely out of the ordinary and this is exactly what he has, given us in "Could a Man Do More?" a three-part Centaur Star Feature for release on the regular Mutual Program. "An I may brother's keepers?" Mr. Wilbur in the character char-acter of "Darrell Sherwood" answers an-swers the stern question of thee centuries in a fashion which is sure to make even the more altruistic al-truistic ainong us pendcr deeply the obligations of fraternal love. The drama possesses a moral appeal ap-peal equal to that of "The Blood of Our Brothers," in which Mr. Wilbur presents an eloquent plea for the abolition of war. It is a finely constructed, ably acted story out real life. Mr. Wilbur has an excellent juvenile understudy in Paul Willis, the boy star, who plavs "Darrell" at 12 years. Celia Santon is beautiful and convincing convinc-ing as "Faith," and Margaret Gibson does wonderful emotiona work in the part of "Molly." "Richard," the younger brother, is well handled by Carl von Schiller, Schill-er, the noted "heavy" lead. |
