Show AFTERNOON TEA. One of the most charming social eventB of the week in society circles was the afternoon tea, presided over by Mrs. George Halverson and Mrs. Joseph M. Grles this afternoon at the handsome Halverson home on Jefferson Jeffer-son avenue An attractive color effect ef-fect in pink prevailed throughout tho home. Tho tea table In tho dining room, which was softly lighted in pink, held for the central decoration a basket of pink sweet peas and pink Klllarney roses, with ferns and delicate deli-cate foliage. Mrs. Hugh C. Wood, Mrs. Ambrose P. Hibbs, Mrs. George A. Dickson, Mrs. Frederick M. Nye, Mrs. Oliver R. Runyan and Mrs. Timothy Ti-mothy D. Ryan, presided at the tea and coffee urns and assisted in the entertainment of the guests. Little Miss Virginia Scowcroft and little Miss Dorothy Scowcroft received the cards at the door. Miss Lilliam Thatcher's orchestra furnished music during tho receiving hours, which were from 2 until G o'clock when 150 ladies called. A number of Salt Lako guests came up for the charming charm-ing affair. |
