Show oo 1 Society RETURN HOME. Miss Madeline Lauzon and Miss Norma White have returned from tho coast where they spent an enjoyable several weeks' visit RETURN FROM COAST. Miss Verna Bowman, teacher of domestic science in the high school and Miss Mary A. Keane, supervisor of domestic art, have just returned from attending tho National Home Economies convention at Oakland, Cal. FROM LOGAN. Miss Stella Nielson of Logan is an Ogden visitor, the house-guest of Mrs. Fred Lundberg, 204 Twenty-third street SURPRISE PARTY. The Misses Ruth and Lola Balr gave a pleasant suprise party in honor hon-or of Howard Falkner last Friday afternoon, aft-ernoon, tho day being his thirteenth birthday. He received many beautiful gifts. The afternoon was spent In playing games, after which a dainty luncheon was served for the following: follow-ing: Misses Jessie Milan, Hazel Turner, Tur-ner, Gladys Harber, Rozilla Hicks, Hilma and Ruth Lyons, Thelma Falkner, Falk-ner, Mettle and Fern Falkner, La Vaughn Bair, Ruth and Lola Bair. Messrs. John Trulock, John Courtnay, Harold Farley, Harry and Rudolph Lyons, Monroe, Howard, Ellwood and Leslie Falkner, Ezra and LaVorn Pearson. At 5 o'clock the guests departed, de-parted, wishing Howard many happy returns of the day. His mother, Mrs. George Falkner, was assisted in entertaining en-tertaining by the Mrs. J. S. Bair and Mrs. Lyons. CHRISTENSEN-KNAUSS. Reverend Frank G. Brainerd performed per-formed the marriage ceremony for George D. Knauss and Miss Delia Chrlstensen last evening at the Congregational Con-gregational parsonage. The bride is of Callento, Nev., and Mr. Knauss Is manager of the Ogden Milling & Elevator Ele-vator company. Mr. and Mrs. Knauss will make their home in this city. Washington, Sept 1. Rear Admiral Wllllnm F. Fullam was relieved today of his assignment as superintendent of the United States naval academy to be succoedod by Captain K. W. Ebexle, mow commandant of tho Washington navy yard and superintendent superin-tendent of the naval gun factory. Admiral Ad-miral Fullam will succeed Rear Admiral Ad-miral Charlen F. Pond, In command of the Pacific roservo fleet at Puget Sound, the latter being ordered to Portsmouth, N. H,f to be commandant of the yard there. |
