Show LABOR DAY PROGRAM AT HERMITAGE RESORT The Labor Day annual of the Ogden Og-den Trades and Labor assembly, containing con-taining the program to be carried out In the Ogden canyon on Labor day, was issued this morning, with the following fol-lowing program: On Labor day, the program at the Hermitage resort will begin at 2 p. m., when the following list of races will be run. Boys' race, under 12 years: First prize 50c, second prize 25c. Boys' race, 12 to 15 years: First prize 50c, second prize 25c. Girls' race, under 12 years: First prize 50c, second prize 25c". Girls' race, 12 to 15 years: First prize 50c, second prize, 25c. Young men's race, 17 to 20 years: First prize 1, second prize 50c. Ycung ladies' race. 17 to 20 years-First years-First prize ?1; second prize 50c. Married Mar-ried ladies' race: First prize $1, second sec-ond prize 50c. Union men's race-First race-First prize $2, second prize $1. Union men's wives' race First prize $1.50, second prize $1. Fat men's race. 200 pounds and over: First prize $1.50, second prize $1. The oldest union man on the grounds is to be awarded a prize and a tug-of-war is to be staged between teams from the Carpenters and the Brewery Workers' unions. The prize for the latter event will bo a box of cigars. Following the tug-of-war, which will conclude the general sports program, a baseball game will bo played by the Huntsvllle and Five Points teams for a substantial prize, on the Hermitage ball grounds. Aside from the amusements that are to be provided at the Hermitage resort, the committee has also made special arrangements for boating on the Ogden river, east of Pine View. In the evening a dance will bo held in the Hermitago hall from 8:30 to 11:30 o'clock. |
