Show CAPTURE OF THE UNDERSEA CRAFT German Ship Said to Have Been Caught by the British. London, Sept 1, 11:50 a. m. The admiralty has given out no information informa-tion concerning the fate of the German Ger-man submarine which sank the Arabic. Ara-bic. Whether such information Is in Its possession is unknown as it is the policy of the admiralty to withhold news of thisi character. Unofficial reports that tho submarine subma-rine has been sunk are being circulated circu-lated widely. It is said tho craft attempted at-tempted to torpedo the British steamer steam-er Nlcoslan. which arrived at Liverpool Liver-pool from New Orleans on August 24, five days after tho Arabic went down. According to this account, the Ni-cosian Ni-cosian escaped and the submarine, ! while attempting to sink her, fell a rictim to a patrol boat In Liverpool the report is current that the submarine has been captured md not sunk. |
