Show FLYNN WINS OVER CHARLEY MILLER San Francisco, SepL 2. Putting 'a cyclonic finish to his cautious, well-Judgcdearly pace, Jim Flynn of Pueblo was declared the winner of his battle with Charley Miller at Col-ma Col-ma today when tho big San Franciscan Fran-ciscan refused to leave his corner and toe tho scratch for tho Blxteenth round. Miller gamely stayed through tho fifteenth round, but, claiming that two of his ribs had been fractured frac-tured and that ho was hardly able to walk, he Ignored the beckoning gong for the sixteenth. Tho motor-man's motor-man's condition was plainly such that he could not continue. It was whispered whis-pered at the ringside that the police were about to draw the curtains on the scene. With the exception of some of the earlier rounds, Flynn outfought his former sparring partner and administered admin-istered a severe beating to the championship cham-pionship aspirant. He closed Millor's left eye and drew blood from the face moro than once. During the last five rounds ho had the big follow wobbly a portion of the time and on four occasions nearly scored a bulls eve by dropping Miller. "Miller was willing at all times and forced the fighting through many of the rounds. He stood up and exchanged ex-changed punch, for punch with Flynn and started several rallies that brought the crowd to its feet yelling. Flynn nsed an effective right upper cut and jolted Miller with head punches. He landed frequently on the body but took few chances In registering his blows. During the tenth round after Miller had beaten Flvnn around the ring in one of the sensational rallies, he stood and looked at the fireman and then said, smiling: "Gee Flynn, I'vo got to give it to vou.
