Athearn, head of the bureau of economics eco-nomics of tho Southorri Pacific railroad, rail-road, said today that important developments de-velopments in the present disagreement disagree-ment between the officials of the Harrlmau lines and the shopmen fedorntion are expected tomorrow While ho refused to give details of the expected happenings, Mr. Athearn Ath-earn left tho inference that the situation situ-ation has become more serious than at the time of the departure of J. W, KHne for Chicago. Kline, the president of tho black-smith's black-smith's union and spokesmdn for the shopmen, Is expected to arrive in Chicago tomorrow. His mission, according ac-cording to local leaders, Is to servo an ultimatum on Julius Kruttschnitt, vice president of the Harriman lines, demanding the recognition of the federation fed-eration of shop employes. "The Harriman lines are doing nothing noth-ing to disturb the present arrangement arrange-ment with the men," said Mr. Athearn, Ath-earn, "No hostile action will begin with us.
