Show DECREASE OF COPPER PRODUCTION. PRODUC-TION. Tho copper production from copper and iron oros was 17,923,412 pounds, valued at 2,276,273, a decrease of 2,430,813 pounds in quantity and of $309, 7C6 in value as compared with the 1909 figures. Moat of tho copper produced in these states comes from the Duckton district of Tennessee, which contrib utod 94 per cent of tho output in both 1909 and 1910. The copper ore6 yielded an average of 23.2 pounds of coper to the ton of ore in 1910, against 25.9 pounds in 1909. Tho production of lead all from lead zinc ore was 19S.S50 pounds, valued at 5S.750, in 1910. No mine production of lead was reported for 1909. The zinc output In 1910 was 140.-S75.SSG 140.-S75.SSG pounds, figured as spelter, valued val-ued at ?7,607,29S, a decrease from the production in 1909 of 25,452,973 pounds and of $1,374,400 Tho output of zinc ore was 411,331 short tons in 1910, with an average recoverable content of 342.4 pounds of zinc per ton. against 510,172 tons in 1909, with an average zinc content of 326 pounds per ton. Of the zinc output of the Eastern states In 1910 over 97 per cent came from New Jersey, the remainder re-mainder being produced in tho lead-zinc lead-zinc belt of Virginia and Tennessee.
