McCIoBkey added another name to his list-of 1912 candidates for his Ogden club In the Union association, asso-ciation, when George Wossler, one of tho most popular local players, afhxed his name to a contract yesterday. Negotiations Ne-gotiations between McCloskey and Wessler have been going on for the past several days, and the final signing sign-ing of the contract by this fast In-fielder In-fielder will bring Joy to Uio heartn of the Ogden fans It shows a desire" on tho part of Manager McCloskey to use all of the available Ogden players In his Union association club, and tills spirit can only servo to demonstrate that the former Butte magnate Is for Ogden once and always Ho has every reason rea-son lo believe that Weasier will bo able to make good and hold a place in the lineup of the Ogden regulars during dur-ing the coming season And McCloskey will not slop at Wessler. Ho has his eye on one or two other men who have served an apprenticeship under "Dad" Glmlln, and be proposes to give them a fair chance to wear a uniform undor the chlse owner Is not prepared to give out their names as yet, because tho all-Important contract signing has not yet taken place. With Alexander, the Indian catcher, and one or two othor outsiders already al-ready signed up, McCloskey Is fast assembling as-sembling the candidates from among whom he will select his regulars. He will be able by Monday to announce several more candidates, and In addition addi-tion to thoso already signed ho Is reasonably sure of securing two or three good men who woro with him in Butte last season.
