The market also failed to show any evidence of outside out-side buying. Tho opening was 1-8 (3l-4 to 3-8 lower Mav Btarted at 103 l-83l-4 to 103 1-4 and fell to 103 1-S. rallying late- to 103 1-4 3-8. Fine weather caused heaviness at the outset iu corn, but good domand couthweat braced up quotations. Commission Com-mission houseB were moderate buyers. May opened 1-8 down, at C8 1-2 and recovered to 68 5-8g"i3-4. There was but little pressure on oats. A fair amount of purchasing turned tho market upward despite the opposite tendency of other grain. May started unchanged to a shado higher at 52 1-2 to 52 l-2 5-8 and steadied at 52 5-8. Larger receipts of hogs than expected ex-pected and light demand carried down provisions.
