Show NO GAMBLING BN ' STATE OF UTAH . , Bill to That Effect is Introduced in the Lower House of the Utah Legislature, the Measure Being Copied After the Nevada Law; Kuchler Presents a Divorce and Remarrying Measure Senator Williams introduced a bill In tho senate this afternoon, making the Governor a member of tho State Industrial school board. Senator Kuchler presented a measure meas-ure allowing persons who lived separate sep-arate and apart a year before securing secur-ing a divorce to remarry without waiting a year, as under the present law. Representative Russell, In the house, Introduced a stringent autl-gambllng autl-gambllng bill, following closely the Nevada law, which Is expected to completely wipe out gambling In all parts of Utah. The rules committee of the senate sen-ate has arranged to do away with soft Jobs among the employes of the senate. All the employes are to be undor the supervision of tho ser-geant-at-arras, and the socretnry of the sennto and are to report directly to tho president of tho senate. A record will be kept of the hours of attendance at-tendance of employes and In case of absence the clerks and other attendants attend-ants will receive no pay for time lost. Tho senate cannot adjourn for raoro than three days without consont of the house. Each person introducing a bill or resolution Is to be allowed to appenr before the commlttco considering the same and champion his cause.
