Harris announced In court this morning that an understanding had been reached between them as to the organization of the second district court and tho duties to be performed by each of them in handling tho business busi-ness of tho ditricL Tho agreemonj. being as follows; Divisions of the Court. There shall be in the district court for Weber county two divisions to be known as Division No. 1 and Division No. 2, respectively. Matters and causes shall be heard and determined In the said divisions us follows: In Division No. 1. All miscellaneous matters, Including1 adoption and naturalization matters, hearings in Insanity cases, petitions for writs of corliorari, mandamus and prohibition, applications for tempor ary restraining orders and hearings in default divorce cases; one-half of all the civil cases, being those with odd "numbers; aleo all criminal cases and mattors pertaining thereto, during tho month of April, 1911, and each alternate alter-nate month thereafter Miscellaneous and exparte matters may be heard at the opening or closing clos-ing of each session of Division No, 1 of said court until further ordered by tho Judge presiding thereover The motion calendar shall bo called before Division No. 1 of said court at 2:00 o'clock p. m., on each Friday on which a session Is held. f In Division No. 2. All probate and guardlauship matters, mat-ters, and, contested causes growing out of the same; one-half of all tho civil cases, being those with evon numbers; also all criminal cases and matters pertaining thereto, during the month of May, 1911, and each alternate alter-nate month thereafter. Uncontested probate and guardlani ship matters may be heard before the said Division No. 2 at 10 00 o'clock, a. m., on any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Thursday or Friday on which a scsrIou Ib held, until further ordered .by the Judge of said division. Tho motion calendar shall be called before Division No. 2 of said court at 10:00 o'clock a in., on each Friday on which a session js held. Provided that, when deomel advisable by the court, matters in one division may be assigned to the other division for hearing Provided, also, that during I the nbBcnce or disability of the Judgo presiding over either division of the court, any matters referring to said division may be heard before tho judgo presiding over the other division of the court, in his discretion. Until further ordered by tho court, Judge J. A. Howell is hereby assigned to Division No. 1 and Judge N. J. Harris Har-ris is hereby assigned to Division No. 2 of said court. |
