Show INTERFERENCE WITH LAW AND ORDER AT great expense the people of California Cali-fornia hunted down the perpetrators perpetrat-ors of the San Francisco preparedness parade bomb murders. The same fight of radicals in the socialist and labor organizations who defended the Los Angeles Times dy-. namiters defended this case. They even undertook to recall District Attorney At-torney Fickert and wanted the scalp of the judge who so fearlessly tried the cases. All other means failing, as the people voted down the recall and upheld up-held the district attorney and trial judge, a commission was created. This commission has made a political investigation invest-igation of the dastardly bomb outrage and recommends that the President secure a new trial. Leslie's Weekly discusses this proposition propo-sition in a manner that is fearless and practical common American horse sense. It says: "The courts of California Califor-nia are competent to hear and decide upon the facts in any case rising within with-in their jurisdiction. If they are not in position to do this with absolute impartiality impar-tiality they should be reorganized, but there is not justification for the suggestion sug-gestion that the President of the United Uni-ted States should interfere to set aside their decision." - |
